You’re Gonna be Ok

You’re Gonna be Ok

I’m not gonna smile this day

Why do people always have something to say?

The way I dress?

The way I talk or walk?

Little things now gone big time

And you say,

You’re gonna be ok.

I’m not gonna see myself succeed

Why can’t I be like the next guy?

He has everything I’ve always wanted

Friends, family, loving partners

That dream house, that fast car, bank accounts that sets that person for life

Luck does smile on him

And again all you have to say is…

You’re gonna be ok.

I’m not gonna survive this day!

Not with that!

I won’t see the light of things!

I grow weary! Lotsa things in my mind and you just calmly

Say just that

My time, my dreams, my life going down the drain

And still…

You’re gonna be ok?!!!

My friend, yeah

You’re gonna be ok

Simply because all things

Good and bad have their time

It’s not yet the end if you still could hear me

And I know you hear it as well yourself

Listen friend

You are gonna smile

You are gonna succeed

You are gonna survive

Good and bad have their time

It’s not yet the end if you still could hear this

And I know somewhere down the road you’re going

You’ll notice a couple of things

That were just under your very nose

Those very things that mattered my friend

As to what they are, well, you have to figure that out

Give it some thought

Give it some time

For starters smile, remember good things you’ve done, and brace up

Live…And see that it ain’t that bad…

You’re gonna be ok.

Once In A While

Once In A While.

Usual Train Ride

Usual Train Ride.

Once In A While

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

In days when we sometimes feel neglected

Setting aside for even just a minute

Of lifetime complications and contradictions

Each and in every one of us carry

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

In days I cherish these brief encounters

Like the jealous child who cups and warily guards imaginative treasures

Oblivious to the realities

Drudgery, pain, and unanswered questions that are lined up in one’s day

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

Your instance in putting value in things

Some small, some grand in scale

No matter how trivial

Leaves the gloom of days such as this

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

I thank and welcome thee

Setting aside for even just for a minute

Of complications and contradictions each and in every one of us carry

If things were not so

If things were way different

That today matters

I would have no second thoughts

In sharing to you what I think

How in your own little ways

Be of value to me

Distance may not matter

Even if you are as far as you seem to be

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

In plain and silly conversations rarely made

I leave things for now

As they are

I am left but only wondering at some safe distance

And yet content at times

At the end.

Pink Lion’s 3 Scoops

On my prize. Yipee!

Rendezvous in December

Droplets fall
Where rains in December
Seem commonplace in nights such as these
At odd moments
Between stops
I try to see and listen
As they set themselves
Quite close to my face
Between glass and lights

Reflecting all
Into a hundred
Unique drops liken
To all thoughts and maybe wishes
One encounters that
Seem commonplace in nights such as these

As I reflect on such
I wonder about you
(Yes you)
You here
Sharing the same thoughts and maybe wishes

I doubt that you, this year could make it
For I’ve thought of saving that one place
That seat one would think only
Fitting for queens, angels
Beings that can make surroundings
I see blurred
And at the same time beautiful in the end

I’ll wait. In looking forward to see and meet you
Where rains in December
Seem commonplace in nights such as these
Whoever you are, wherever that may be.

Sensibilities Put to Test

Oh how you dread and ache this day
Wishing things go well
Not awry
Sensibilities put to the test

Broom! Broom! Broom!
He goes
Not resting till yea all notice
What racket and unrest
He is sworn to do

Broom! Broom! Broom!
He goes with sooty smoke
Till his neighbors wonder
What racket and unrest
To whom does such he addresses?

I tell you madam and dear sir
If it’s all the same
Yea too has made
Such racket and unrest
In a time before this

Just fair I believe
That the same
Sensibilities of yours
Be put to the test.

Broom! Broom! Broom!
He goes with more sooty smoke
(When will it end?)
Till his neighbors wonder
Of the hour he claims
Of their sensibilities put to the test

And the story so far goes
Of the fellow who tests
His neighbors’ sensibilities
Of what I heard
Will then test the senses
Of the honorable fellows of order

As to how they will sense
Perhaps act on
The fellow who emits racket and smoke
Of neighbors rudely disturb on this morn

Oh how you dread and ache this day
Wishing things go well
Not awry
Sensibilities, Patience, and some consideration put to the test

Usual Train Ride

Usual train ride
A curtain
Of neutral grey outside the window
I see bleakness blur
I feel the change of a cold
Usual train ride
With its occupants waiting long
Till their journey’s end

Along the passing of time
I scan and I find
Chewing gum softly
At the train door’s edge
Elven eyes flickering back and forth
Makes time worth the wait
Watching you chew softly
Something to remember by of the day
On one of my
Usual train rides
