A Friend’s Blazer

I’m not feeling well
My favourite wear
A black blazer
Was this morning
Smoked

I’m smellin like gray carbon
Those near me I see noses wrinkle
I can tell
And they ponder where
Such an odour
Familiar

From streets
Riding open jeeps
Such an odour
Familiar
Presses the senses

I’m not feeling well
My favourite wear
A black blazer
Was this morning
Smoked

Left now to hang and me bearing the chill
So those near me may not fret
I can sadly go on working
Be not harangue by what others can tell of
Such an odour
Familiar

From streets
Riding open jeeps
Such an odour
Familiar like smog
Presses the senses
Jeepney smoke…

Crossing EDSA

I am hesitant
Some may call this madness
My mind races as I recall
Events past

O Maring! Why bring me here of all places?!
Your coming fury at that time
Places my being in a predicament here in Ortigas station
Where my life some say hangs

On my focus to the other side
OH! Of my need to get cross a road so wide
Over one roaring, speeding, vehicle to another
Yet paradise is across

I hesitate
Calculating the risks
Oh why Maring! Why!??
I dare step…

One of the monsters far away
Seems to eye me
And charges forth
Quickly I ran
I scat not minding of what awaits me
I got no time

On my focus to the other side
OH! Of my need to get cross a road so wide
Over one roaring, speeding, vehicle to another
Yet paradise is across

Another tries to veer away
The thought of my bloody remains
Splattered on wheel and axle
Shudders in the thoughts
Of the passengers within
My goal

On my focus to the other side
OH! Of my need to get cross a road so wide
Over one roaring, speeding, vehicle to another
Yet paradise is across

I ran
And made it across miraculously
I scat and gave some fright
To pedestrians of to work

I ran, I made it
I scat
I’m just one dirty lucky rat…

Natural Smoothy Green

Natural smoothly green

How rare a find in troubled times

Prepared by

Scooping and then mashed to creamy texture

Assembled then

Sweetened

Then chilled

I try some after lunch

Skims down to my belly

So refreshing and cool

Natural smoothly green

Guaranteed formula favorite

Flat Lines

Has it ever come to you
When things just seemed to be still?
Things that cling to you?
A field of rut surrounds thee
Where minutes pass before you notice
The hours have as well
Sum up the day a waste

A flat line tone hums in your head
What happened to your day?
Where has thy energies gone?
No answers. None come.

Has it ever come to you
The cry to do more. To act
When directions are not properly plotted
Across seas of endless possibilities
The route taken stale
Where constellations vanish before you notice
The night sky darkens as well
Sum up the journey a waste

A flat line tone hums in your head
What happened to your day?
Where have the stars gone?
Nothing but blackness. None come

5 Angels Going to Work

A merry start

Of my coming to work

On a bleak August morn

My grey path

Cut by the passing visages

Of angels five

Two a waiting

By Dragon Cuisine

Three fleeting

As I wait to a light

By MRT

Two a waiting

One cropped blue

Another in pinkish violet

Dolls both mesmerizing

Inviting all to dine on

Dimsum plates galores

All smiles

These two

Makes every bit

More satisfying

Appetizing

On glimpsing

One cropped blue

Another in pinkish violet

Dolls both mesmerizing

Three fleeting

Hair cropped short

And wearing faces

Liken to Freya’s own

They move with purpose

Each her own way

Waiting on lines

Faces grim

But rain drops slow

When one looks at each

And notice beauty longing

In spite

Of the long wait to

A light the MRT

Three fleeting

Hair cropped short

And wearing faces

Liken to Freya’s own

To live the moment

At the merry end

On my coming from work

On a bleak August morn
