Gravity

Gravity I’ve checked

A natural law wherein 2 bodies

Attracted by each other

A natural law that gives bodies weight

Makes such objects fall

Gravity was studied

By the likes of Galileo and Einstein

From them comes theories

Like objects falling in the same motion

Inspite of having different sizes, different weights

But this is not going to be about Gravity science…

Gravity at this moment

For me I feel

Is something I would say

Puts me in my place at times

Gravity at this moment

For me I see

Is something that places perspective

Puts both feet on the earth

Sometimes

Gravity at some instances

For me I feel

Is something that is overbearing

Can’t lift a finger

Can’t lift my voice

Can’t lift my thoughts

Afraid I might lose myself

Sometimes my friends, even family

Gravity at some instances

For me I see

Is something that can protect you

From lifting a finger

From lifting my voice

From lifting my thoughts

I would be safe

My friends and family as well would not be hurt

And then again

Gravity is something

For me I feel

Pulls me down

I would be not able to rocket away

To the stars where dreams and sometimes expectations are found.

Gravity is something

For me I see

Blinds me to things

To possibilities, opportunities, and chances

All sadly behind me.

To sum up, Gravity

The Gravity I feel and see

Is sometimes good

At times it’s bad

Principle of Equivalence says that no matter what size is one

Or how heavy is one

Both will fall at the same time

Once in a while

We all go through some Gravity

It’s just one of those days

It just feels kinda

Heavy

Quiet Beauty

Quiet Beauty.

You’re Gonna be Ok

You're Gonna be Ok.

You’re Gonna be Ok

I’m not gonna smile this day

Why do people always have something to say?

The way I dress?

The way I talk or walk?

Little things now gone big time

And you say,

You’re gonna be ok.

I’m not gonna see myself succeed

Why can’t I be like the next guy?

He has everything I’ve always wanted

Friends, family, loving partners

That dream house, that fast car, bank accounts that sets that person for life

Luck does smile on him

And again all you have to say is…

You’re gonna be ok.

I’m not gonna survive this day!

Not with that!

I won’t see the light of things!

I grow weary! Lotsa things in my mind and you just calmly

Say just that

My time, my dreams, my life going down the drain

And still…

You’re gonna be ok?!!!

My friend, yeah

You’re gonna be ok

Simply because all things

Good and bad have their time

It’s not yet the end if you still could hear me

And I know you hear it as well yourself

Listen friend

You are gonna smile

You are gonna succeed

You are gonna survive

Good and bad have their time

It’s not yet the end if you still could hear this

And I know somewhere down the road you’re going

You’ll notice a couple of things

That were just under your very nose

Those very things that mattered my friend

As to what they are, well, you have to figure that out

Give it some thought

Give it some time

For starters smile, remember good things you’ve done, and brace up

Live…And see that it ain’t that bad…

You’re gonna be ok.

Once In A While

Once In A While.

Usual Train Ride

Usual Train Ride.

Once In A While

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

In days when we sometimes feel neglected

Setting aside for even just a minute

Of lifetime complications and contradictions

Each and in every one of us carry

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

In days I cherish these brief encounters

Like the jealous child who cups and warily guards imaginative treasures

Oblivious to the realities

Drudgery, pain, and unanswered questions that are lined up in one’s day

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

Your instance in putting value in things

Some small, some grand in scale

No matter how trivial

Leaves the gloom of days such as this

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

I thank and welcome thee

Setting aside for even just for a minute

Of complications and contradictions each and in every one of us carry

If things were not so

If things were way different

That today matters

I would have no second thoughts

In sharing to you what I think

How in your own little ways

Be of value to me

Distance may not matter

Even if you are as far as you seem to be

The value of being in your presence

Once in a while

In plain and silly conversations rarely made

I leave things for now

As they are

I am left but only wondering at some safe distance

And yet content at times

At the end.
