Sharing Thoughts through Writing

A Memory named Misibis Bay

I contently bade the sunny days of recent

Plays, songs, places to see

Bright and cheery

Blue skies, clouds at play, and the return to the vast sea

I contently bade

To return anew to the city

In the fading light

Welcoming the night

To happily toil again

Placed in its silent embrace

I contently bade the sunny days of recent

To a place named Misibis Bay

Now a fond memory

Bright and cheery

Blue skies, clouds at play, and the return to the vast sea

I contently bade.

The Night Starts when Lights Abound

My Day begins when nights like this one

Lay-out before me

Lights abound in myriad colours dsiplay

At pretty angles

Without the familiar faces of family, loved ones, and friends

Yet in their absence, I feel there is life

Given in patterns that give the night dark

It’s unique beauty

Nights like this one

Lay-out before me.

The Veil Translucent

The veil translucent

Reveals familiarity in your person

Feelings closed. Set Aside

Fondly longing someone afar

Words heard aside that it is most

unlikely that you, to have no one close to tell you…

How your laugh lightens the soul

How you carry yourself without maskaras or blushes

How you look quirkily up

sometimes when you speak

These are but a few many things

Someone likely in your life

Would fondly tell you

Would reveal the familiar

To set aside

The veil translucent

Equation between 3 sistahs and 1 odd man

3 sistahs

Comprised of 2 fated to be bonded close

The other sistah of the 3

Place between these 2

The “Confidant,” complete the 3

Add 1 odd man

Master of one named “Ruffah”

Equation for hysteria and good feeling laughter

5 or so years

The 4 together

Have gone to numbers

We all, I believe, in silence

Are grateful for the presence of each

At the end of 5 or so years

The paths like those in a compass

Each of the 4 now go

The North path for sistah E

A path that brings new beginnings

New challenges to live by

Outside our equation of hysteria and good feeling laughter

To the South for sistah R

A path too that brings together another heart

Who lives on the land down under

Outside our equation of hysteria and good feeling laughter

To the East for sistah A

A path that’s settled, husband and child

Her original name sounds orient like that in the east, now changed

Outside our equation of hysteria and good feeling laughter

To the west for the odd man J

A path he recently feels like the setting of the sun

Still on the path before the light wanes

Outside our equation of hysteria and good feeling laughter

Yet as we each go about

On our separate paths

We wouldn’t be here

If not for the equation we added

Of 3 sistahs and one odd man

Yes?

Or No?

Probably the said equation

And it’s direction

4 different points

Each will add something to the equation

By the time

Each will again cross paths

And formulate a different equation

Hysteria and Good feeling laughter

The friendship equation I would like to remember

Between 3 sistahs and one odd man

Little M

Way back on September

Half a decade ago if I’m correct

I saw you coming out

Pink slippers worn on 3rd

That gets me wondering on the 15th

As I started working

Oh say a few weeks after

In my little world

I was looking to see you again

And when I did

You were…loud

You see

The picture I had of you

Was somebody well…less loud

As were most of my types

As time moves

As it always has been

I find myself wondering

Here on 3rd

Still working for half a decade

Between of which a lot

A lot has happened

Peoples lives have taken many, many turns

As it always has been

I find myself wondering, accepting, and smiling

Here on 3rd

Of your life so blessed

Your voice…less loud than before

Maybe your soul quiet and reflective

Such as that within those that I admired

Of my types

I’d come to admire

Visionary M

Visionary M

The thunder

The lightning

A brave new world

Awaits for all

Hear her out

Oh yea neglected ladies and sirs

Some of you

I hear, need that push

She’s the thunder

She’s the lightning

The idea

The bulb

She will start you off with your story

On what you see far off

On what you dream

She then measures you up after

She will guide

She will lead you

She will see something good out of you

If only you make it so

Know this

She’s the thunder

She’s the lightning

Brave it out

Face her, the fervent storm

Work it out

Make the connection

And yea will see

That she will show you the light

The possibilities just at arms reach

Know this

She’s the thunder

She’s the lightning

Brave it out

Face her, the fervent storm

You will guide

Lead yourself

Believe that things are possible

Give yourself that chance

Visionary M

The thunder

The lightning

Brave new world

Awaits for all

“Anty” Cheese Sandwich

Some kind soul

Just today

Offers a “yummy” sample

Of cheese between wheat

Sprinkled with busy ants

Some kind soul

And I don’t know

When I was off a moment

To return in wonder

Some kind soul

Was kind to leave it

On my desk with them ants

Ants seeking an escape

Probably the sandwich

Was not to their taste

And I share their doubts

I kept it in a bag

Some kind soul

Your offer if it were

I pass

To let ants have a chance

Between escape or a yummy repast

Altine

In every image you appear unique
and the same charming, Altine

The Sassy Intellect

You got my attention
At your mention of a word,
Astral Projection
Brings a smile in my face

The Promising Teacher

You got my attention
Your poise, your voice
Full of confidence
Brings a smile in my face

Boyish yet Alluring Woman

You got my attention
Second time around you look just awesome
Wearing your hair down
Brings a smile in my face

The Soul behind your eyes

You got my attention
Time stops whenever I look with some courage
At those Altine eyes
Brings a smile in my face

In every image you appear unique
and the same charming, Altine

A Friend’s Blazer

I’m not feeling well
My favourite wear
A black blazer
Was this morning
Smoked

I’m smellin like gray carbon
Those near me I see noses wrinkle
I can tell
And they ponder where
Such an odour
Familiar

From streets
Riding open jeeps
Such an odour
Familiar
Presses the senses

I’m not feeling well
My favourite wear
A black blazer
Was this morning
Smoked

Left now to hang and me bearing the chill
So those near me may not fret
I can sadly go on working
Be not harangue by what others can tell of
Such an odour
Familiar

From streets
Riding open jeeps
Such an odour
Familiar like smog
Presses the senses
Jeepney smoke…
